Every day a pregnant woman, somewhere, is thinking about abortion; whether it is right or wrong for them. According to the article Abortion Statistics about 115,000 women make that choice daily. Abortion has become a monumental argument today between two main groups. One of which is pro-life, and the other group is pro-choice. Abortion has been the debate for years where the two different groups try to persuade the other that their views are right, but in all reality abortion is wrong. The statistics, medical information, and moral views of abortion are enough justification to prove that abortion is immoral and cruel.
The continued debate is supported on both sides by many plausible and reliable facts. Pro-choice representatives use a social case to argue their side of why they believe abortion is the choice of the woman who is debating whether or not to have an abortion. Medical statements prove that during the first trimester of pregnancy, the new fetus cannot survive without the mother. The fetus is completely dependent on getting the essential nutrients and supplies directly from the mother. Therefore in the eyes of pro-choice supporters the mother should then be able to decide what she wants to do with her own body. Another argument supported by pro-choice is that it would be a way out for future teen mothers to not have the burden of giving up their education, and have the financial hardships (Abortion: Pro Choice). Pro- Choice supporters also present the scenario that if a woman is raped and becomes pregnant, she may not want to bear the child. So in hand she could have the choice to not have a baby from being sexually assaulted. Along with the rape scenario, pro-choice supporters argue that a woman could be caused large levels of distress. Furthermore to cease the pain of a pregnancy that they did not choose to have, they would have an abortion.
Pro- life supporters are backed by moral and medical evidence to support their case. Medical studies have shown that women who have abortions are at risk to damaging their reproductive systems, and in some cases, they may cause enough damage to never be able to give birth again. Research also shows that women who have abortions are also more likely to develop cervical, breast, and uterine cancer (Against Abortion). The main argument that pro-choice offers is that abortions are religiously un-abiding. Should one decide that abortion is right for them, they are deciding to kill a life created by God, and are taking on the role of God. Furthermore, it is viewed that if someone is trying to kill a child they are taking on the role of God, and they should be punished (Against Abortion). Another point that they argue is that these kids will be missing the meaning of life. The meaning of life is to provide man to apply his free will and volition, which is testing against the fruits of knowledge on the tree of good and evil (The Real Meaning of Life According to the Bible). So in hand they believe that abortion is morally wrong.
In my personal belief I feel that abortion is wrong, mostly by religious standards. I grew up being taught that a new baby was a gift from God, and should always be treated as such, and we are all created in the image of God. Another point I believe, is that God bestows all his blessings on us from the moment of creation, which is the moment of conception (Abortion in the Bible and Church History). Nevertheless, believing that all people are created at the moment of conception; I view abortion as destroying the life of an unborn person. It is also possible to have the child anyway, and upon birth give that child up for adoption. To me that is cruel because they had no say in the matter whether they wanted to live or not.
For many years the debatable subject of abortion has been analyzed carefully to win popularity, but it is immoral and unjust. Abortion is wrong because it goes against social views, and more importantly it contradicts religious views. When an unborn life is on the line, just think of what that life could accomplish instead of what it could hinder.

“Enjoy life, because life is phenomenal! It’s a magnificent trip”-Bob Proctor (The Secret DVD). This is a quote by a man who is in a group of many people that have come together to explain how to be successful in life. The Secret is the name of a movie, book, and lecture series that explains how to use your own feelings and emotions to be successful in almost every aspect of life possible. The men and women that have come together to create The Secret understand how it works through their own and other’s experiences. With their help the have spread the secret throughout the world to help all that they can. Some of the men that are featured in The Secret are John Assaraf, Bob Proctor, and John F. Demartini.
Foremost I would like to start with John Assaraf. Initially his life began in 1961 where he was raised in a loving home. However, to John's dismay his father was a cab driver, therefore not being home a bulk of John's life when he had questions to life. As a result, John led his teen years with health issues and low self esteem that ultimately could have landed him a spot in jail, or even worse the morgue. Once he wizened up a little bit at the age of 19 he left home to find the answers to his questions of success that he was looking for. After drifting around for a few years at the age of 21 he became a partner of RE/MAX real estate. His mission was to turn around the slow Indiana region. Not only did he work for RE/MAX he excelled. Now his sales associates sell over $4 billion dollars a year (The Secret Story.com). Throughout the last 25 years John has dedicated his life to research correlating to the human brain, quantum physics, and business strategy (The Secret Story.com). He enjoys sharing his success with audiences worldwide. One way he is sharing his success is through the movie The Secret. He has advertised the highly popular movie on shows like the Ellen Show and Larry King Live. Another way Assaraf has showed his understanding of the Law of Attraction is his pride of building four mulit-million dollar companies from practically nothing. Most of all he enjoys telling his life lessons and stories, even if they are a little embarrassing, to his listeners so that they may apply what he has learned to his life as well (The Secret Story.com). John Assaraf has been very fortunate to turn a rough childhood into living comfortably for most of his life. Bob Proctor is another Secret promoter that shares this characteristic.
In the year 1960 a young Bob Proctor became a high school drop-out with not much more than a resume filled with jobs that would not get him anywhere. Born in 1936, Bob grew up with little prospects of being rich or famous (personal-development.com). He was then introduced to a book called Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, which sparked new ideas in Bob’s head (The Secret Story.com). Immediately he turned to a life of self improvement with only an annual salary of $4000, and him being in debt of $6000 (Personal Development.com). In a matter of a few months his life did a complete one-eighty flip. He turned around in a year from being in debt to making over $100,000 annually. Soon then after he moved to Chicago and began working for Nightingale-Conant. Through hard work and using the knowledge he had at his disposal he became the Vice President of sales for Nightingale-Conant (The Secret Story.com). Furthermore he has achieved fame and fortune in the form of books that he has written and movies he has been in. He has written the critically acclaimed books You Were Born Rich and Science of Getting Rich, and has appeared in the movies The Secret DVD and Power Principles for Creating more Wealth (A Great Health.com). Today Bob Proctor spends his life traveling around the world teaching individuals and companies the secrets of his acquired knowledge and the Law of Attraction (The Secret.tv). However, Mr. Proctor is not the only one spreading his wealth of knowledge of the Law of Attraction around the world.
Dr. John F. Demartini shares another story close to that of Bob Proctor. Born in Houston, Texas on Thanksgiving day John grew with numerous obstacles and distractions. Initially, when he started walking he was immobilized with leg braces, and he also had them on his hands as well. Throughout his school career he struggled beyond his peers with learning disabilities and general difficulties. He had troubles reading, and even worse he had trouble communicating both verbally and written. As a matter of fact his first grade teacher had stated that he would never read, write, communicate, or be worth anything at all his entire life. In accordance with all he was ever told during his life Dr Demartini dropped out of high school at age 14, and from there moved to Hawaii. So how is it that this man has become something of himself with the disabilities he had? Interestingly enough 17 year old John Demartini met Paul Bragg. Bragg harped on John to overcome his learning disabilities, to get an education, and make a difference in the world. After this insightful conversation John started to crack away at his shell of learning disabilities. Consequently, John shortly learned how to both read and write, and proceeded to obtaining his general education diploma, or GED. Furthermore he went on to graduate from the University of Houston as Magna Cum Laude in 1982 ( Dr. Demartini.com). Today Dr. John Demartini is a behavioral specialist, author of numerous books, and the core founder of the Demartini Institute. Majority of the time Dr. Demartini is off to over 56 countries for more than 360 days a year to not only share his research, but also his finding throughout the world for people to become more aware of their full potential. Additionally, Demartini has authored more than 40 books, and has appeared in diverse radio, television, and printed interviews around the world (Hay House Inc.).
Once more it is important to rationalize that these men are anomalies compared to the majority of human beings on the face to the planet. John Assaraf, Bob Proctor, and last but not least Dr. John Demartini have all discovered a power most will never know of, and the amazing part is that every single person can use this to their advantage. Personally, I believe that these men have done very good things for the world, but not only in figuring out this new law they are going out and beyond any means necessary to spread the wealth of this knowledge for the world to know.
